The first major guided tour of the 2025 season was everything a rider could hope for—and more. With eight riders from the USA, Canada, Austria, and the UK, we set off from Munich for a 13-day, 3,200 km journey through the heart of the Balkans. What followed wasn’t just an epic ride—it was a true reminder of why we love doing this.
“My brother and I recently returned home after completing the 12 day Balkans guided motorcycle tour with Oliver of MotoVibes Travel. What an absolutely amazing adventure!! Oliver was great to deal with from the beginning. Great communication, well organized and incredibly enthusiastic!! The route Oliver took us on couldn’t have been any better. Scenic, beautiful roads that were incredibly fun to ride!! There were so many beautiful places that I had no idea existed. This experience far exceeded anything I imagined we would be doing and it was ALL thanks to Oliver who I now consider a friend!! Don’t hesitate to book with MotoVibes. It was truly one of best experiences I’ve ever had and I’m already looking forward to going on a tour to Norway with MotoVibes next year!!!”

“As a European going on a Europe ride, I was a little worried that it wouldn’t live up to expectations I’ve developed travelling to far flung destinations. How wrong could I be. Oliver from MotoVibes has created a superb trip that we all thoroughly enjoyed. The choice of roads, hotels and destinations were top class, and I’ve never experienced such great roads for riding fast and fun. The Spirit of the Balkans is a trip I would recommend to anyone looking for both a riding experience and seeing parts of Europe steeped in history. Roll on the next one with Oliver and MotoVibes.”

One Group, One Vibe
Some in the group had ridden together before. Others were strangers when we met. But by day two, it felt like we'd all known each other for years. The laughter came easy. The rhythm on the road was smooth. And in the evenings, it was less “group dinner” and more “friends swapping stories over beers.”
This group clicked. It made guiding the tour not only easy, but genuinely fun.
Riding Connected – Thanks to Cardo Systems
This was also the first MotoVibes tour where every rider was equipped with a Cardo Packtalk Edge unit, thanks to our newest partner, Cardo Systems. Having full intercom across the entire group was a game-changer—not just for safety, but for the riding experience itself.
We could call out hazards, coordinate fuel stops, or just share a quick “wow” mid-corner. In tight twisties or unpredictable weather, it gave everyone an extra layer of confidence. It wasn’t just riding—it was riding together.

Rain? Wind? No Problem.
Sure, we hit severe rain on Day 2 and strong winds on Day 3—but that’s part of the adventure. With solid gear, good spirits, and real-time communication, the group handled it like pros. And after that? Clear skies, dry roads, and May doing what May does best in the Balkans: delivering unbeatable riding conditions without the crowds.
Highlights from the Road
Every day brought something new. A few moments that stood out:
- Vršič Pass & Nockalm Road – Perfect tarmac and hairpin heaven
- Jadranska Magistrala – Still one of Europe’s greatest coastal rides
- Sveti Jure & Piva Canyon – Dramatic landscapes and roads that demand respect
- Tara Bridge & Durmitor National Park – Montenegro at its absolute best
- Mostar’s Old Bridge & the Eye of the Earth – Culture, history, and nature in one
- Zeljava Air Base – A surreal Cold War relic with a story behind every crack
- Großglockner High Alpine Road – The grand finale, in pure alpine glory

More Than Just a Route
This tour is always special—it mixes twisty mountain passes, coastal rides, cultural gems, and that raw, unfiltered Balkan energy. But this time, with this group and this tech setup, it hit different. It felt complete.
Thinking About Next Year?
If you're dreaming of a tour where you feel part of something—where the riding is incredible, the planning is handled, and the friendships form naturally—the Spirit of the Balkans should be on your radar. May is the perfect time: mild temps, green landscapes, and just the right amount of unpredictability to make it feel like a real adventure.
And if you want to ride connected? We’ve got you covered.
