This year’s touring season started with a bang—12 days, 3,500 kilometers, two great guys (Christian and Peter), and one motorcycle paradise: Sardinia.
As our first guided MotoVibes tour of 2025, this trip wasn’t just about roads. It was about sharing the ride, soaking up spring sun before the summer crowds arrived, and experiencing Sardinia’s unique rhythm—on two wheels.

From Munich to the Mediterranean
We kicked things off in Munich, heading south through Austria’s alpine scenery and into Italy’s twisting mountain passes. The Brenner Pass, Monte Giovo, and Mendola set the tone: smooth tarmac, epic views, and a pace that felt just right.
By day two, we were riding towards the ferry in Livorno, excited for what lay across the water.
Sardinia: Europe's Hidden Gem for Riders
Touching down in Golfo Aranci, Sardinia welcomed us with the kind of roads that feel like they were built for motorcycles. Over the next several days, we explored both coasts:
Alghero & Costa Verde on the wild west coast—remote, rugged, and beautiful.
SS125 on the east—pure flow, perfect tarmac, and corner after corner through mountains and canyons.
Rest stops in charming coastal towns, riding without luggage from our base hotels, and enough twisties to leave a permanent smile under the helmet.
Riding as a Team
What made this tour special wasn’t just the landscape—it was the camaraderie. Christian and Peter brought great energy to every ride. Whether we were discussing the day’s route over breakfast or stopping at a lookout point, it never felt like a formal tour. It felt like friends sharing the road.
Both riders brought their own style to the trip—confident, curious, and open for every detour and suggestion. A rest day? Not for these guys – they opted to ride every day and always picked the longer routes. That’s what MotoVibes is all about.

Highlights Worth Remembering
Monte Baldo on our way to the ferry in Italy
Nuraghe Towers which can be found everywhere in Sardinia
Pedra Longa cliffs rising from the sea like a natural monument.
The tight, scenic roads of Monte Limbara.
Ferry sunsets and espresso breaks with unbeatable views.
That moment you crest the pass on the SS125 and see the island stretch endlessly below you.
The Wrap-Up
After days of coastal curves, canyon twisties, and spirited mountain climbs, we ferried back to the mainland and rode through the Apennines, Monte Baldo region, and back to Munich.
It was more than just a route—it was a proper start to 2025. One that set the tone for the season ahead.

Thinking About Your Own Sardinia Tour?
Whether solo, with a group of friends, or on a guided trip like this one—Sardinia in spring is something every rider should experience at least once. Smooth roads, almost no traffic, and landscapes that shift from alpine to ocean in minutes.
And if you’re looking for someone to guide you, plan the route, and keep things smooth and stress-free… well, you know where to find me.
