Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Bavaria

Arrive in Munich at your own pace and settle into your hotel. Pick up your motorcycle, review your route materials, and enjoy a relaxed evening before your self-guided Alpine adventure begins.

Day 2: Alpine Foothills & Historic Passes

Leaving Munich, you head into the Tyrolean Alps, climbing scenic mountain roads known for their winding character and sweeping views. The route offers a memorable introduction to Alpine riding before reaching your first mountain stop for the evening.

Day 3: The Legendary High Pass Highway

A day defined by celebrated high-altitude roads, dramatic switchbacks, and ever-changing glacier scenery. You follow a chain of iconic mountain crossings through remote terrain before descending toward a picturesque Italian valley.

Day 4: Swiss Legends & Historic Cobblestones

Today brings a string of classic Swiss mountain roads, including a historic cobbled route and several spectacular high crossings. Tight hairpins, broad panoramic curves, and rugged alpine valleys make this one of the tour’s defining riding days.

Day 5: Sweeping Curves & Alpine Character

Three more iconic Swiss passes await, each with its own distinct personality, from technical hairpins to long, flowing mountain curves. The day finishes in a well-known Swiss mountain resort surrounded by impressive peaks.

Day 6: High Glacier Passes & Wine Country Views

Continue south across a remarkable sequence of high mountain roads, with glacier scenery, wide valleys, and dramatic elevation changes along the way. By evening, you reach the warmer landscapes on the southern side of the Alps.

Day 7: Alpine Finale & Homeward Bound

Your final riding day combines scenic mountain passes with a spectacular border crossing through the high Alps. After one last day of sweeping curves and unforgettable mountain views, you return north to Munich and complete your self-guided journey.

Day 8: Farewell Munich

Individual departure from Munich, taking home unforgettable memories of legendary Alpine passes and dramatic mountain scenery across Austria, Italy, and Switzerland.

After each day’s ride, you’ll have ample time to unwind, immerse yourself in the local culture, and connect with fellow riders—making the experience as fulfilling off the bike as it is on it.

Ideal for intermediate riders, this journey offers a variety of terrain, including hairpin turns, sweeping curves, and narrow mountain roads. *) If you book the Shared Double Room option as a solo rider, please include the name of the friend you will be sharing with in the comments during check-out. If there is no other rider available to share the room, you may be required to upgrade to a single room at the single-room rate. We will make every reasonable effort to book rooms with separate beds where they are available; however, please note that separate beds cannot be guaranteed at all properties.

Motorcycle rentals and rental gear items are provided by Adventure Rental in Hamburg /Munich and are subject to availability and not included in the tour price. Prices are approximate and may vary – they include the regular mileages for the tour, full coverage insurance (with deductible), full pannier & top case set and GPS navigation system. Payment for rental items will be due at the start of the tour.
