About the Tour

Experience the Ultimate Southern Escape – Grand Tour Andalusia

Leave the winter behind and kick off your riding season with the definitive deep-dive into Spain’s sun-drenched south. This is the Grand Tour of Andalusia—a motorcycle adventure that goes far beyond the typical tourist routes. Starting and finishing in Málaga, this journey links the Mediterranean coast, the high alpine passes of the Sierra Nevada, the red-rock canyons of the Gorafe Desert, and the legendary "Pueblos Blancos." It is a masterclass in diversity, designed for riders who want to see every hidden corner of this rugged, soulful landscape.

We begin with a warm-up over Puerto del León before tackling the legendary Carretera de la Cabra, a road that snakes from the sea into the clouds toward Granada. From there, we push further east than most tours dare, conquering the Alto de Velefique—Spain’s answer to the Stelvio Pass—with its dizzying stack of perfect hairpins. You will ride the turquoise shores of the Tranco de Beas Reservoir, and navigate the prehistoric, lunar landscapes of the Gorafe Desert.

The route then swings west through the wild Sierra Morena and the cork oak forests of Sierra de Hornachuelos, leading us to the historic hearts of Córdoba and Seville. We cap the adventure in the dramatic Sierra de Grazalema, riding balcony roads above the Zahara-El Gastor Reservoir before reaching Ronda, a city perched impossibly on the edge of a limestone chasm. Our final blast takes us through the El Chorro gorge, past the famous Caminito del Rey, and into the otherworldly rock formations of El Torcal de Antequera.

Expect a perfect mix of high-speed flowing twisties, technical mountain passes, and photo-worthy stops in places like Ronda, with its iconic bridge covering a deep gorge. Evenings are for world-class tapas, local wines, and sunset walks through white-washed plazas—big riding days balanced with authentic Andalusian vibes and handpicked boutique 4-star hotels.

Bring your own bike or choose a premium BMW rental fully equipped for the journey. Every kilometer is scouted, every hotel is selected for its character, and you will have expert support every step of the way. This is not just a ride; it is the ultimate Andalusian experience for those chasing total freedom and the magic of the open road.

Join us for the ride of your life—where the mountains meet the desert and the desert meets the sea.

"I've had the pleasure of going on a trip with Oliver for the second time now, and his trips do not disappoint. I can't imagine how much work he puts into all the little things that really make an impression—route choices, local knowledge, everything. Good conversations and laughter on the road and in the evenings, and the community you build on these trips is something special. I'm left with good memories and a smile on my face from this Andalusia trip. The next trip for 2026 is already booked and I can hardly wait. If you're considering a trip with Oliver, you will not be disappointed!"

"This was my third time touring with Oliver and for sure not the last trip. This time we went to southern Spain and toured the beautiful roads of Andalucia. Oliver went above and beyond to give our group the best experience and lasting memories—great route, beautiful landscape, good food, and comfy stays for the night. Every day was packed with adventure and excitement!"

Detailed Tour Information

 Day 1: Arrival in Malaga

Welcome to the Costa del Sol! Today is all about settling in and getting ready for your Andalusian adventure. Pick up your rental bike, meet your fellow riders for a tour briefing, and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere before we hit the road tomorrow.

Day 2: Malaga to Granada (215 km)

We start the tour with a climb up the Puerto del León (A-7000), offering spectacular views back over Malaga and the coast. The highlight of the day is the legendary A-4050, known as the "Carretera de la Cabra" (Goat’s Road). This winding mountain pass takes us from the coast high into the mountains before we descend into the historic city of Granada.

Day 3: Granada to Almeria (285 km)

Today we explore the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. We will tackle the Puerto de la Ragua, a high mountain pass that crosses the Sierra Nevada at over 2,000 meters. The scenery changes from lush alpine forests to the arid, desert-like landscapes as we approach the port city of Almeria.

Day 4: Almeria to Huescar (285 km)

Get ready for a day of endless curves! We head into the Sierra de los Filabres to conquer the Alto de Velefique. Often compared to the Stelvio Pass for its incredible series of tight hairpins and perfect tarmac, this is a true rider's paradise. We will spend the night in the charming town of Huescar.

Day 5: Huescar to Cazorla (245 km)

We ride through the rugged Sierra de Segura and the Parque Natural Sierra de Castril. The route takes us along the turquoise waters of the Embalse del Tranco de Beas, following winding roads through dense pine forests and limestone peaks. We finish in Cazorla, the gateway to Spain's largest protected natural area.

Day 6: Cazorla to Jaen (284 km)

Today’s journey takes us through the dramatic Gorafe Desert, where the red earth and deep canyons feel like a scene from a Western movie. We then cross the Parque Natural Sierra Mágina, surrounded by endless olive groves, before arriving in the city of Jaen, overlooked by its magnificent hilltop castle.

Day 7: Jaen to Cordoba (324 km)

We head north into the Sierra Morena, riding through the Parque Natural Sierra de Andújar. This region is famous for its wild landscapes and is one of the last refuges for the Iberian Lynx. The roads here are fast, flowing, and perfectly suited for motorcycles. We finish the day in the historic city of Cordoba.

Day 8: Cordoba to Seville (250 km)

We continue our journey west through the Parque Natural Sierra de Hornachuelos. This area offers a mix of rolling hills, cork oak forests, and hidden river valleys. It is a peaceful and scenic ride that leads us to the vibrant and soulful city of Seville.

Day 9: Seville to Ronda (245 km)

We head south toward the "Pueblos Blancos" (White Villages). We will ride along the shores of the Zahara-El Gastor Reservoir and through the northern section of the Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema. The day ends in Ronda, a city perched dramatically on the edge of a deep canyon.

Day 10: Ronda to Malaga (200 km)

Our final riding day is packed with highlights. We start with the famous A-397, a legendary stretch of tarmac that drops from Ronda toward the coast. We then head inland to the El Chorro gorge area, home to the famous Caminito del Rey. Our final mountain pass is through the otherworldly limestone formations of El Torcal de Antequera before returning to Malaga for the bike drop-off and a farewell celebration.

Day 11: Departure from Malaga

Individual departure from Malaga. Safe travels, and we hope to see you back in the saddle for another adventure soon!
