Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Bavaria

Arrive in Munich in the afternoon and settle into your hotel. Pick up your rental motorcycle, review your route materials, and enjoy a relaxed evening before your extended self-guided Alpine adventure begins.

Day 2: Tyrolean Passes & Alpine Foothills

Leaving Munich, you head south into the Tyrolean Alps, where quiet mountain roads and sweeping highland curves replace the faster approach roads. A pair of classic passes provides a memorable first taste of the mountain riding to come.

Day 3: The Legendary High Pass Highway

Today brings a remarkable succession of celebrated Alpine crossings, combining dramatic switchbacks, high valleys, and constantly changing scenery. The route builds toward one of the world’s most famous mountain roads before continuing west into a quiet Italian valley.

Day 4: Historic Cobblestones & Swiss Glacier Roads

Cross from Italy into Switzerland on a varied day of high mountain riding, including a historic cobbled route and several classic Alpine passes. Rugged peaks, broad valleys, and glacier views create a spectacular journey to your overnight stop.

Day 5: High Swiss Passes & Mont Blanc Horizons

Begin with another famous high-altitude crossing before using an efficient transfer section through Switzerland. The route then brings you west toward the French Alps, with the great Mont Blanc massif marking the approach to your evening destination.

Day 6: The Great Alpine Road Begins

Enter one of Europe’s most celebrated mountain touring regions, following a succession of famous high passes through dramatic Alpine terrain. Expect classic hairpins, vast panoramic views, and an optional longer route for riders seeking even more mountain roads.

Day 7: High Passes & Southern Alpine Landscapes

Continue south through a memorable chain of mountain crossings, where the landscape becomes warmer and more rugged. Tight switchbacks, remote valleys, and broad summit views make this a rewarding day before reaching your peaceful mountain base.

Day 8: Rest Day or Riviera Escape

Enjoy a free day to relax in the mountains, explore your surroundings, or choose the optional route over a famous twisty pass. If you wish, continue south for a coffee or lunch beside the harbour in a glamorous Mediterranean principality before returning to your hotel.

Day 9: Dramatic Gorges & Canyon Curves

Ride through a spectacular narrow gorge before following small, winding roads around one of Europe’s most impressive canyon landscapes. Deep valleys, sheer cliffs, and a seemingly endless flow of curves make this one of the tour’s great scenic highlights.

Day 10: Balcony Roads & Remote Alpine Passes

Day 13: Swiss Mountain Roads & Alpine Valleys

Day 14: High Crossings & Italian Mountain Roads

Day 17: Farewell Munich

Motorcycle rentals and rental gear items are provided by Adventure Rental in Hamburg /Munich and are subject to availability and not included in the tour price. Prices are approximate and may vary – they include the regular mileages for the tour, full coverage insurance (with deductible), full pannier & top case set and GPS navigation system. Payment for rental items will be due at the start of the tour.
